Originally conceived because of a French Purchasing Mission to the United States with the deadly results of the Ju 87 Stuka staring them in the face after he Spanish Civil War and the Invasion of Poland. But before it could come to fruition France fell. Britain then took over the French order and pushed them into service in India and Timor and New Guinea to great success. It also served with the air forces of the USA, France and Brazil.
