A study on the Luftwaffe's operations in Russia, part of a series of historical studies written for the United States Air Force by key officers in the German Air Force. It covers operations from Stalingrad, the Kuban Bridgehead defence and describes Luftwaffe preparations for, and combat in Operation Zitadelle and the fighting in the Orel salient. Further chapters cover air and flak operations in the battle for the Crimea and operations in the far north. The book ends with a critique of Luftwaffe operations in the east in 1943.
