1956 First Edition Panther Paperback with protective poly jacket in excellent condition. Tight binding, no damage at all.
This scarce book is about the German U-Boat fleet and the men who lived, fought and died in them during the Second World War.
It starts with a vivid description of everyday life inside the vessel and then proceeds from the sinking of the Athenia, the battle of the Atlantic to patrolling the Indian Ocean. A rivetting read.
