A scarce account of the war in Vietnam from an unusual viewpoint. The author was a senior US Army medical officer who served in many forward and front line medical facilities and hospitals. His account, which contains verbatim sections from from his diary, is the moving story of his tour of duty, from leaving his family in March, 1969 to an emotional return to the US on Easter sunday, 1970.
