Opened in 1931, Trenton Ontario has been the most important Military airfield in Canada. It began as a training base and in the early war years trained flight instructors who in turn helped train the thousands of pilots in the Commonwealth Air Training Plan. After the war it was home to the Central Flying School until 1961 when CFS was moved to the prairies and Trenton became the base of RCAF Air Transport Command. This book was published by the base command to celebrate its 50th anniversary in 1981 and is packed with colour and black and white photos.
