In April 1941, Hitler ordered the development of a heavy tank, armed with the famed 88mm gun. This tank became a legend in its own time. With over 250 photos, mostly from new sources, and more than 50 colour plates (profiles, three-quarter views and details), Tiger I in the East depicts the markings, insignia and camouflage of the most famous of all German tanks. The history and order of battle of every Tiger unit who faced the Red Army is also featured.
