The story of the 10th Battalion, East Yorkshire Regiment - 'The Hull Pals'- from September, 1914 to May, 1919 in the trenches of the Western Front in WWI. 1,400 men left Hull - one in four never returned. This is the subject of a fascinating BBC-TV documentary in which descendents of the men involved re-enacted a month in the trenches. Illustrated with more than 150 photographs, illustrations and maps.
