Soviet subversion of Western Intelligence services started in the 1930s. In this assessment of Soviet espionage activities and the damage they caused the author focusses on the startling ability of the Soviets to infiltrate agents and subversives into MI6, MI5, and the WWII SOE organization. Contains a historical survey of the 1930s and an analysis of Britain's foreign policy towards Russia, including Allied attempts to foment an anti-Nazi uprising in occupied Europe and the Soviet mole at work in the operation.
