Subtitled 'From Plassey to the Somme (11th, 39th and 54th)' this impressive book brings together a superb and varied collection of military anecdotes. Reflecting Britain's Imperial history, it covers empire building in India, the American War of Independence, the Napoleonic era, the Crimean, Zulu and Boer Wars, as well as the horrors and heroism of The Great War. It features a rich cast of Regimental characters who have in common service to the Crown and to the Regiment, and includes some 340 illustrations, many in colour.
