The American Army executed 70 of it's own soldiers in Europe between 1943 and 1946. Almost all of them were black in an army that was overwhelmingly white, and for offences for which a white man would have received a lesser sentence. The eye witness to this failure in justice was interpreter Louis Guilloux. Now the author uses his experiences combined with extraordinary research to recount the story.
