The Tusas' account of the epic siege of Berlin which strted in June 1948. The Berliners and the Western Allies stood firm whilst everything the city needed was flown in. This was not just food but coal, petrol and everthing else needed for the day to day existence of more than 2 million people. A relief column of a size and scale never before attempted brought the siege to an end in May, 1949, but the blockade helped shape Europe for the next 40 years or so.
