The Army and the Third Reich - An essay in historical interpretation. This book studies the Wehrmacht's relationship to Nazism, and provides an analysis of the Army leadership's responses to Hitler. It also looks at the growth and nature of the opposition in the military elite, and includes a chapter on Colonel-General Ludwig Beck, Chief of the General Staff, 1933-1938.
