1st Edition.

RV Ashman was a Sgt Pilot (Eventually) flying on Spitfire squadrons during the closing stages of the second world war. The book itself is written as a biography of his life with particular focus on the wartime years and his entry in the Air Force. It points out the differences in equality between the NCO pilots that gave so much and their Officer equivolent. Indeed after the war NCO pilots were disregarded as Britain went back to Officer only pilots. Anyone who has an interest in the RAF, the War and/or Pilots/NCO Aircrew should read this. If you don't have an interest; read this anyway and you will have by the end! This is a story of both great adventure and the highs and lows of war and post war life. It is tinged with sadness and a little bitterness. A tale of a true British gentleman.
