The RAF Strategic Nuclear Deterrent Forces. A very necessary volume to give an understanding of the role of the Royal Air Force in the Cold War. Wynn gives the real explanation for the cancellation of the TSR2 and the introduction of Polaris, the submarine launched nuclear missile. The illustrations are pleasingly familiar, the Valiant, Victor and Vulcan are not neglected. Wynn also gives and explanation of Bomber Command and how it was re -equipped after WW2. There is a lot of good stuff here, giving a nostalgic journey through Britain's air power and its highly recommended
