RAF Marham's history reaches back into the First World War when it served a vital home defence role against raiding Zeppelins and Gothas. Later in the expansion of the 30's it reopened as a bomber base and post-war operated bomber and reconnaissance aircraft. Aircraft based here have played a leading role in the Falklands, Gulf Wars, Bosnia and Iraq.
