An original manual of the RAF Pilot's Notes for the Supermarine Scimitar Jet Fighter as used by the Fleet Air Arm in the 1950s & 1960s. It has been fully augmented by the original owner with all issues of Amendments up to A.L 3 of May 1959 pasted in place, making the manual rather more chunky than others I've handled (Up to the 1950s, AL pages were unpasted on the rear, making for a time-consuming job for the pilot. After the 50s, AL pages came pre-pasted.) The manual has been used well and the cover shows signs of that handling, see pics for further details, but there is little damage to the item. One curious item is that the manual comes with its original integral set of illustrations, marked: '41st AIRCRAFT' but also 2 different loose sets, one of which is marked '21st Aircraft' in red biro, the other unmarked.
