The author worked in the Scandinavian Section of SOE and records the setting up of the Special Operations Executive in July 1940 and its war-time activities in Norway. Operation Jupiter was the codename for a plan to re-take North Norway to put and end to the enemy's access to supplies of Swedish ore, it never actually took place but the threat of it shortened the war.
