This is an interesting book for the hard core war bird fans of the P51 Mustang. While the photos of the Mustang survivors circa 2003 are fantastic, the really interesting part of the book is not the nut and bolt listing of tail codes and owners of the currently owned P51's. The other part of the book addresses Mustang restoration and ownership in the modern era, with interviews and quotes of the men and women involved.
This book does not address the history of the development of the Mustang or the P51 in combat. There are plenty of other books out there that address that part of the story.
