Extremely well-written - the author, a WWII Bomber Pilot, paints a vivid picture of what it was like to be in the RAF during this very turbulent time in our history; has a great sense of humour despite experiencing some dreadfully sad things. Can recommend to anyone who really likes to "get into" a book.
