There aren't too many stories of Wellington crews who took on the air defences of the Reich in 1941-42. This book brings one pilot and his crew to life in a charming and touching way. The book is based on the letters to his family of the pilot and also photos of the crew. They stuck with each other until the end when their aircraft was lost over Germany. (Amazon review)
