An account of Sir William Stephenson and his involvement in post-WWII Counter-intelligence, particularly the Gouzenko case. Igor Sergeyevich Gouzenko was a cipher clerk for the Soviet Embassy in Ottawa, Canada. He defected on September 5th, 1945 with documents on Soviet espionage activities in the West. Gouzenko's defection exposed Stalin's efforts to steal nuclear secrets, and the then unknown technique of planting sleeper agents.
