Special series no. 18. 15 December 1943 issued by the Military Intelligence Division, United States War Department. This was substantially a translation of the official German Army publication on the lessons learnt from the first winter in the Russian Campaign. There is information on camouflage, concealment, protection, care and use of weapons, chemical warfare, signals and communications.

A period published and issued personal booklet to individual German soldiers. The original book published in « 1942 » features relative combat information to include fortifications, winter sled information, proper exhaust for wood burning stoves and other very useful tactics and theories. A rather uncommon and desirable booklet that was vital.
