The life of Peter Riedel, a pre-WWII glider pilot of outstanding abilities. He was posted to the USA as advisor to the German Military Attache in Washington DC, a post which involved him in the world of espionage and intelligence. When Hitler declared war on the United States Riedel was forced to return to Germany where another fascinating episode of his life unravelled. This led to a dramatic escape from Sweden to Casablanca by fishing boat, and then a yacht across the Atlantic to Venezuela. May have light foxing on top edge.
