The First World War was a static, positional conflict, carried out in a large measure from fixed trenches. Superiority depended on the defence of the front line, whilst attacking enemy trenches. This Polish language book describes the various trench mortars used by the Austro-Hungarian army in the war. Numerous archival photos complement the Polish text.
