New from publisher, unread. This book highlights the military achievements of Saarland soldiers leading to the award of the Knights Cross. It exclusively concerns those born within the borders of the Saarland, and required many years of research in order to collect the necessary information. Many documents were lost during and following World War II. The book predominantly concerns Luftwaffe personnel and includes hundreds of photographs and facsimile illustrations of award citations plus contemporary newspaper reports of the individual’s actions. German text.
