PROFILE PUBLICATIONS was the name of a series of over 200 magazines published in the mid-20th century, each devoted to a particular aircraft type and aimed at a readership which encompassed both aircraft and model aircraft enthusiasts. A small thin magazine but highly collectible as originals, regrettably very scarce in good condition. Typical content of issues, written by aviation industry experts and military historians includes:

Colour diagrams of the aircraft (and variations of aircraft) viewed at all angles.

Camouflage and Markings

Technical specifications: weight & performance tables, including dates of trials, type of engine, max altitude and so on. Details of modifications and the dates they were incorporated into the aircraft. Black & white photographs of the aircraft. Lots of historical, technical and developmental information.
