Said to be edited by 'Arthur Wilson M.A.', nephew and namesake of the legendary Sergeant Arthur Wilson of the Walmington-on-Sea Home Guard Platoon during World War Two. Led by the indominatable Captain George Mainwaring (pronounced 'Mannering' in coloquial English), this is a priceless collection of tales and and comic anecdotes from the hilarious and much loved BBC TV series which was broadcast in the 1970s. The series was written by the famous British comedy duo, Jimmy Perry and David Croft.
