First published in 1986, 'Avro Shackleton' is no 3 in the popular 'Postwar Military Aircraft' series by the late publishers, Ian Allan. The book delivers a short potted history of the operational use of this famous and charismatic maritime patrol and AEW aircraft in its time with the RAF and SAAF, together with many personal anecdotes about it in service. This is well supported by over 150 nicely captioned photos and a number of other illustrations. Very enjoyable, and quite a lot in a small package.
