The book itself. I consider myself to be both a booklover and a plane lover and yet I had never seen this collection, of which this is Volume II, before seeing it on Amazon, and what was really surprising to me was the number of aircraft within the volume I had never seen before. Any self-respecting aircraft enthusiast knows their Hampdens from their Wellingtons but what about a Commonwealth Wirraway or a Fleet Finch? An Ikarus IK-2 or a Cant Z.1007bis Alcione? Blackburn Botha? British Taylorcraft D? Every one of them has an informative write up and a photograph on the type and a three-view, most at A4 size, but some pull out to two or even three pages wide. It has to be said that some of the photographs were obviously re-touched (in the original plates not the book) and some of the three views are basic but they are there, recorded for all to see none the less. An excellent buy and outstanding value for money.
