This book not only includes detailed, readable accounts of great pilots and their machines,but also about everything from balloons to artillery spotting to boot. The illustrations are top shelf (if you're looking for a book with photos, this will disappoint) and the writing lucid and entertaining. I've loved this book since I was a kid, and firmly believe it to be the very best book on First World War aviation.
