It is a lightly fictionalized account of the author's exploit in sailing a Russian steamer from the Dardanelles through Turkish coastal waters to Syria during WWII, evading the German naval blockade in an unarmed tanker. There is a slight but very innocent dose of romantic interest with a young Russian? female agent, but aside from mutual attraction and respect, nothing actually happens between her and our hero. He seems to regard the war as a sort of game, albeit a deadly one. I found his account of the navigational and political hazards of his journey fascinating. Especially to be recommended to nautical fans. \u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Hodder","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":67670600909099,"sku":"17792","price":15.99,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/1022\/1289\/5019\/files\/no-stars-to-guide-by-a-seligman-1947-1st-edition-hardback_17792_main_original.jpg?v=1791253062","url":"https:\/\/militaryhistorybooks.com\/products\/no-stars-to-guide-by-a-seligman-1947-1st-edition-hardback","provider":"Military History Books","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
